Hylife Media Group is a promotions group based in Toledo, Ohio composed of two artists: Imani Lateef and Sara City Lopez. Our goal is to host stellar events that showcase the areas up and coming talent as well as introduce Toledo to progressive artists from around the country.

Our first event, The Tipping Point, was a success; bringing together slam poetry and hip hop into “one great salute to Toledo hip hop” (Toledo City Paper 2007)
The group hosts Hylife Poetry, an open mic poetry venue every TUESDAY at The Prestige in Downtown Toledo right next to the Amtrack station from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. You can come out and here the dopest poets of Ohio and surrounding areas, and you can express yourself and share your own art with people who appreciate it. (Get there on time, the list will fill up quickly.)
