The Latchin’ Method! an E-Book by Cherie King

9 July 2010 2 Comments

About one year into my locking journey, I purchased an e-book from Natural Hair Author Cherie King.  I was twisting my locks, which were smaller in size than traditional locks and I had heard of using a latch hook in order to maintain them.

I looked around for information on HOW TO do it, and I wasn’t able to find much until I happened upon Cherie King’s Website. She has published e-books (electronic books-downloaded onto your computer) regarding Bradelocz TM and the Latchin’ Method.

The guide was simple and concise and I was able to follow along and learn how to latch my own hair at home. No trips to a loctician who may or MAY NOT know how to latch new growth, you really can do it yourself.

You can order your copy here and begin learning  immediately. Cherie also will answer any questions you have by email.  She is very helpful and has a wealth of information based on her own journey and experience as a cosmetologist.

I encourage those who are locking not to give up on the journey. There are ups and downs  but there is help for you if you need it. And don’t be afraid to offer your experiences as teaching tools for others. This is what it’s all about-let us share the wealth!

I think I started using the latch hook maybe a year into growing my locs. It is SUCH a timesaver and really makes sure you get all of your new growth where it’s supposed to be….

    Hello!

I didn’t know you latch too. Your locks are lovely! I like being able to latch and since I am combining. I am looking forward to taking breaks from that and twisting some times. My cousin has 8 year old locks and she twists them but comes to Toledo for me to latch them once a year in the summer since she runs a lot of marathons and works out. I think that is what I ultimately what I’d like to do :)
