The Truth: About YASU!

Recently, YASU has been making ripples around town. Besides being in the booth, polishing tracks and inspiring to write new ones, she has been taking notes, making a few appearances and taking time to appreciate all of the great things in her life.
Manager, Imani Lateef, has taken the reigns and guided Yasu’s music career into existence. The numero uno fan, he is, and a brilliant businessman, too. Not only does his passion for music make management easy, but his eye for detail; connections to Northwest Ohio’s greatest Producers; and wise council aid in the success of this endeavor. He is able to utilize circumstances and experiences as positive catalysts to continue in the work he has begun as an artist manager. More than a poet, graphic artist, and manager, Imani is a coach, a team player and he is focused.
Here’s what Minister of Culture, Michael Hayes, a very gifted producer, artist manager and emcee, had to say about Yasu in Toledo’s Sojourner Truth Newspaper:
YASU.
Imani Lateef is a very
close friend of mine and a
longtime music enthusiast.
He’s been involved in
Toledo’s entertainment
scene for years designing
logos, flyers, promoting his
own successful poetry night
among other ventures.
Yasu is Imani’s first foray
into artist management, and
it couldn’t have been a better
pick. This is a female singer/
songwriter whose voice
seems flat out limitless. I’ve
heard some of her material,
I’ve seen her perform live
only once. That’s all it took.
Her roots are in gospel, but
her music is anything from
soul to R&B to inspirational
and maybe even some funk.
Trust me, you will be glad
you learned of this new talented
artist.
From the February 6, 2008 issue:
It was a full house; standing room only.
Yasu gave stunning and
memorable performances
each time to the stage and her
talent was one of the most
talked about points of the night
for many.

With only one month till her release date, YASU is anxious and optimistic all at once. The journey has been laborous, creative, tedious, and even fun. Most of all, the work is done, and the wait is almost over.
Listen to YASU.

Just to add to this. As an addition to Project360 Studios, Imani and Yasu has brought a new flavor to what we do here. Imani is a very talented and educated brother, who we are proud to have apart of our team.
